grasmere: January 2002 - access to rear of Grasmere School completed, due for opening in May when the grass has had time to settle. The progress of the development has been followed by students at the school. click here for press release
itsmyroad: December 2001 - launch of advertising campaign with Meg Hillier from the GLA, striking posters designed by Hackney students can be seen around the borough in bus shelters and on advertising hoardings drawing attention to the needs of the pedestrian.
lccarticle: October 2001 - cycle training was run for a second time attracting lots of interest. Due to the hard work by students and parents at one of the local schools, links have been made with the LCC (London Cycling Campaign) and articles were written by a proactive parent for the LCC and Young transnet.
nicenasty: September 2001 - year 7 pupils at Stoke Newington School have looked into their journeys to school with mapping exercises and a guided walk looking at nice a nasty things, road and personal safety. Here's a poster drawn by one of the pupils.
muralfunbus: July 2001- artist - Kevin Harrison - worked with pupils from Southwold, Harrington Hill and Skinners Schools in Upper Clapton to produce a vibrant and colourful mural surrounding an unsightly derelict site. The results are quite spectacular.
