Safer streets campaign - part of Robbery Reduction Forum, run by Police Secondary School Liaison Officer to reduce street crime on the journey to school. Concentrating on developing agreements with local shops to act as safe havens for children who feel at risk. This also includes class instruction on avoidance strategies. |
Woodberry Down contributed via photographic project siting problems faced on a journey between the estate and Stoke Newington School. Stoke Newington Media arts college, participated through sessions in the area around the school - concentrating on areas to avoid and thinking about personal safety. |
| Cycle training - comprehensive cycle training programme - 2 instructors to 10 pupils, concentrating on the provision of 'on the road' training. First few sessions look at bike maintenance, control and safety, subsequent sessions on the road. |
